- Candle Lighting
Question
I would like to know, is there any difference between Candle Lighting time in the City to someone who lives surrounded by hills, is there a different Shkiha. And if the answer is yes, would you please guide me where I could find it in Shulchan Ourach?
Answer
I do not believe your question is addressed directly in the Shulchan Aruch. Rav Moshe Feinstein (Igrot Moshe Orach Chaim I;97) writes that locations where the sun is blocked by mountains should consider sundown as if the land was flat and the mountains disappeared.
