’Artificial Butter’ and Meat
Question
If one is eating meat, is it permissible to serve certified parve ’artificial butter’ on a side dish if the fellow diners are aware that the ’butter’ is not real and is artificial? Or, does the similarity of its appearance to real butter make it unfit?
Answer
Since today all know of "Parve butter", it is permissible; all the more so if you have the package with the Parve certification on the table.
