Why are women permitted to shave with a razor, whilst men are not?
Answer
The Talmud in tractate Kidushin 35b answers your very question, and two reasons are brought.
A. Women don't normally grow a beard.
B. It's learned from a verse that excludes women from this prohibition – speaking to men only.
