Are mushrooms allowed under the laws of kashrut?
Answer
Mushrooms as such are kosher. Recently there was a problem with mushrooms imported to Israel from China because of visible insect infestation. Check with a kashrut organization in your area regarding the mushrooms sold in your supermarkets.
