Defending Yourself from a Parent
Question
If a parent hits you out of rage are you allowed to take self defense and hit him back?
Answer
Shulchan Aruch YD 240:3 wrote that even if one is sitting at the head of a table of honor, and his parents came and hit him on the head and tore his clothes, he should be silent and not hit them back, and he shall fear Hashem who ordered him so.
