The end of chapter 6 of Joshua tells of the curse that Joshua put on the city of Jericho. In light of that curse, are Jews allowed to live/settle/rebuild the city?
Answer
Since the time it was built against the will and curse of Yehoshua – it became permissible to live there. (Pitchei Tshuva Yo"d 208; 5)
