The Shin on a Mezuzah
Question
I recently had some Mezuzah scrolls checked by a local Sofer. When I went to re-attach them, I noticed that one had been rolled so that half of the Shin was covered by the scroll and was not visible. Is it kosher to affix the scroll as it is or does it need to be re-rolled first?
Answer
There is no problem, the scroll may be used as it is.
