Question
A Jewish woman married to a non-Jew will give birth to a baby boy in a few months. She has asked me for help in obtaining a Mohel for a Brit Milah. Please advise me as to what are the general halachic issues involved since the mother although Jewish is married to a non-Jew. Thank you
Answer
The son of a Jewish mother is Jewish and must be circumcised. Contact a reputable Orthodox Mohel in your area- he will be familiar with the problems, and with their solutions.
