Phrase for Yahrtzeit
Question
I often hear the phrase "May your mother's/father's/etc. Neshama have an Aliya in Gan Eden". It’s a beautiful saying, do you know it's source?
Answer
The source is from the Zohar, that says that a soul ascends from level to level, also as a result of its deeds in this world, and also as result of good deeds done in this world for it's elevation.
