Question
What is the traditional rabbinic understanding of Zipporah’s statement about a "bridegroom of blood"?
Answer
As Rashi explains- Zipporah was referring to the fact that the life of her husband- Moshe- was endangered by his delaying the Brit Milah of his son. Why Moshe delayed the circumcision and why his reasons were not accepted by G-d is dealt with by the commentators as well.
