Question
A similar question has been posed, but this may be different.
My husband purchased some CDs for our 14 year old daughter. Is he permitted to copy these for me?
Answer
If it is done in order to make use of the CD more comfortable (i.e. a copy for the house and a copy for the car - so that you don't need to move it around all the time etc.) it is allowed.
Copying a CD for double use is violation of purchase conditions, hurts the selling rights of the distributor, and is forbidden.
