Question
As glass dishes can be used for both meaty and dairy, what about those dishes that look like glass, but are Arcoroc, Duraroc (glass looking materials from France)?
Answer
The position of Spharadim is that glass does not absorb. Therefore one may use a utensil for meat and after rinsing and cleaning use it for dairy.
This is not the practice of Ashkenazim.
In all circumstances arcoroc and duraroc are not considered like glass.
