Question
According to Rabbi Zalman Baruch Melamed on your site, since no wrong doings are recorded between Yom Kippur and Succot, then a person can do every sin in the book and get away with it? Obviously not, but why not?
Answer
These are the words of the Midrash that there is a sharp switch between The Days of Awe and Sukkot and therefore anyone who by mistake sins it is forgiven. Anyone who deliberately sins will be punished. For further info on the subject please look up in Olat Ra'aya of Harav Kook P. 367. Rabbi Zalman Baruch Melamed
