Remarks during Amida

Question
In our Beit Knesset many people bring children to the t’filloth. I would like to know what the Halacha is when a situation arises where a small child starts crying/screaming during Amidah. If you are allowed to take out the screaming child out of the Beit Knesset, do you then continue with Amidah? Also, are you allowed to make "chinuchi" remarks (such as instructions about davening) or other remarks to an older child in places where talking would normally be forbidden?
Answer
A father should remove his crying child during the amidah without talking and then continue where he left off (Ishei Yisrael 32 13). One should hold off on chinuchi remarks until after davening but you can signal a child to be quiet (Mishna Berura 104 1).
